DUBLIN, Ireland - A man has been arrested and cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately €700,000 has been confiscated in Dublin after an intelligence-led operation on Friday.
Gardai investigating organised crime activity in the Dublin Region, under Operation Tara, swooped on a vehicle in the Carpenterstown area of Dublin 15 on Friday.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, supported by the Special Crime Task Force.
Aside from the massive cocaine haul, €2900 in cash was also seized.
The man arrested, aged in his 30s, was taken into custody at the scene, He is currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
