• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in asocial media postfollowing the summit that he will travel to Saudi Arabia, which hosted the first round of talks between the United States and Russia, and that his team "will remain in Saudi Arabia to work with American partners." Zelenskyy will not attend the talks personally.
• Ukrainian opposition leaders Petro Poroshenko and Yulia Tymoshenko have dismissed thepossibility of electionsin the country during Russia's full-scale invasion after media reports suggested US officials had approached them about the idea.
• European leaders, along with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, aremetin Brusselsfor a "special summit" focusing on an 800 billion euro ($844 billion) defense spending increase as the United States suspended aid to Ukraine and signaled Europe must play a bigger role in its own security.
• At least two people were killed and 28 others injured in aRussian missile strikeon city of Kryviy Rih -- Zelenskyy's hometown -- in the Dnipropetrovsk regionin southeastern Ukraine.
• In response to the halt in US intelligence-sharing, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu also said on March 6 that Paris will beoffering its intelligencecapabilities to Ukraine.
• The United States hasrestricted intelligence-sharing with Ukrainein addition to enforcing a pause in U.S military assistance to the country trying to stave off Russia's three-year full-scale invasion, the director of CIA confirmed.
• A spokeswoman for the French government told reporters on March 5 that President Emmanuel Macron ismulling a joint visit to Washingtonwith Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, all three of whom were in the US capital last week.
• US President Donald Trump said Zelenskyy has informed him that he's ready for talks with Russia to end the war in his country and offered to sign a deal on Ukraine's mineral "at any time."
