DUBLIN, Ireland: Aer Lingus will extend its current 10kg carry-on baggage policy across all regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines, effective from March 3.
The airline said it is changing its rules after listening to customer feedback. The new policy will now apply to all flights in the Aer Lingus Regional network.
This includes flights within Ireland and the UK, flights between Ireland and the UK, and flights to other European countries.
Passengers who book a Plus or Advantage ticket with Aer Lingus or Aer Lingus Regional can now bring a 10kg carry-on bag free of charge.
The 10kg carry-on bag must be no bigger than 55cm high, 40cm wide, and 24cm deep.
All passengers may also bring one small personal item, such as a handbag or laptop bag, at no extra cost. This item must fit under the seat in front of them.
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, said the 10kg carry-on policy gives customers more choice and flexibility. She said the airline knows customers value this benefit, so it is now offering it on all regional flights. Whether it is a short business trip or a longer holiday, customers can choose to travel with a 10kg bag without paying extra.
